Bittergourd Pappadam
Muralis' Bittergourd Pappadam is perhaps the rarest find in the Muralis Kerala Pappadam range — a traditional Palakkad-style pappadam made with the distinctive, health-revered bittergourd (pavakkai). Made from rice flour, bittergourd, red chilli, and asafoetida, these pale, speckled pappadams carry the subtle bitterness of karela balanced beautifully with the warmth of red chilli and the aroma of asafoetida. Completely all-natural with no artificial colours or flavours, they puff up into light, crispy discs when fried — a bold, unique flavour that bittergourd lovers will absolutely adore.
Ingredients
Rice Flour, Salt, Bittergourd, Red Chilli, Asafoetida.
How to Prepare
Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the pappadam for a few seconds until it puffs up and turns crispy. Serve immediately for the best crunch. Can also be roasted directly over a flame for a lighter, oil-free option.
