Beetroot Pappadam
Muralis' Beetroot Pappadam is a stunning and wholesome find — a traditional Kerala-style pappadam made with an authentic Palakkad recipe, enriched with the natural goodness of beetroot. Made from rice flour, beetroot, red chilli, and asafoetida, these deep purple-red pappadams are completely all-natural with no artificial colours — the rich, jewel-toned hue comes entirely from real beetroot. When fried, they puff up into light, crispy discs with a subtly earthy sweetness and a beautiful colour that makes any thali or meal spread truly eye-catching.
Ingredients
Rice Flour, Salt, Beetroot, Red Chilli, Asafoetida.
How to Prepare
Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the pappadam for a few seconds until it puffs up and turns crispy. Serve immediately for the best crunch. Can also be roasted directly over a flame for a lighter, oil-free option.
